Disaster has struck the United States and the world everyone once knew has changed forever. Slipping into the second Great Depression, currentcy has crashed, leaving everyone lost in a world they no longer recognize. Marietta, Ohio was once a thriving mini city. Decent jobs, plenty of money, two fansatstic colleges, and more then enough shops and fast-food joints to keep anyone happy. Now it lays in ruin. More then half of the homes around are boarded up to keep theives at bay. Other homes are nothing more then broken windows and shattered dreams. The once ever popular Walmart has become the envy of the town. With more then enough goods to keep several families happy for the rest of their lives, the place has more attempted burgleries then any other business in town. The owner is the head of the newly formed Mafia family in town and uses the goods to get anything he wants. Small local businesses are doing the same. Trade has become the new money.
It's more then just the local businesses that are affected by the currentcy crash. Familes have been forced into the streets. Hundreds of Thosuands of people now dead due to lack of food and shelter. Diseases are wiping out families. "The Creeping Reaper" is what they are calling this new "Black Plague" killing off people. Many families have reduced themselves to murdering others to get what they want. Most families are forming themselves into mini-mafias. Life as everyone knew it was changing. Those living on the outskirts of town find themselves fighting for their land. Familes killing one another just so they can raise lifestock.
To make matters worse, women everywhere are being handed off to men to unite families. Their family claiming it was their "Duty and Honor" to keep the family safe. A trade of women to keep their families from being murdered by those with power.
