It was too early to be up but not for Shannon. The twenty-seven year old usually was up before dawn. His reason being that he didn’t like to waste his days away in bed but there was also a paranoia he had about being while his brothers were awake… Mainly Reggie, though. Sure he loved his younger brother, he was very protective of him but he also didn’t trust him at times. There had been times were Shannon was sleeping peacefully in his own room only to be bombarded with the ridiculousness that is Reginald Blochensteig. Mainly it was just Reggie jumping on the bed and scaring the crap out of his older brother. To prevent such scares Shannon preferred to just wake up before his brothers did.
At the moment the sun was just about to rise in the east. Since Shannon was a low-risk patient he didn’t have to be under high security. ‘Cause you know this is Shannon we’re talking about, it’s not like he even has the guts to look up from the marble tile of the floor. The guards at the asylum knew the way he was and knew they didn’t have anything to worry about. Generally he was able to just do whatever he wanted to since the guards didn’t seem to pay much attention to him. Actually, no one really paid attention to this Blochensteig brother and he preferred it to be that way. All the attention usually shifted towards Rance, Reggie, or their younger sister Vivian and Shannon didn’t mind one bit.
He was too timid for his own good. It really is bad how quiet the guy is. He hardly talks unless spoken to and even then there is a chance he might not even answer. Sometimes people ask what happened in his childhood, especially the doctors that are driven to look for answers deep inside his head. They ask him questions about his family and childhood. Some believe he was traumatized from a young age and he doesn’t remember it but that’s not true. He was raised in a pretty good home. It was only when his step-dad came into the picture that Shannon began to grow miserable at home. Now Shannon isn’t one to lose his temper or even raise his voice but sometimes he had the urge to with his step-dad and the kids he brought along. They all irritated Shannon, which isn’t an easy thing to do unless you’re name is Reginald Blochensteig. Shannon was actually pissed, beyond furious when his step-dad sent him and his brothers to the asylum. Since then he’s gotten used to Xavier. There are times when he’s glad he’s actually here instead of being back at home.
The hallways were empty and that’s how Shannon liked it. He didn’t really like being around people, especially those he didn’t know and he had this fear of making eye contact with everyone. Well, it’s not really a fear it just made him very uncomfortable. So when he was walking through the empty halls here he made sure he walked as fast as he could while still attempting to remain casual before anyone else spotted it. It was a very awkward thing to do but this is Shannon. His whole life is awkward. As he was walking down the hall he wasn’t even looking up to see where he was going. His eyes stayed on the ground only shifting up every other moment to make sure he wasn’t about to run into anything and after that they shifted to the left, right, and basically all over the place. Those people who didn’t know him probably thought he had some serious problems or was a recovering addict of some sort. Honestly, the only drug he had ever done was pot. He was never into any hardcore shit. He just liked the bud ‘cause it chilled him out and didn’t leave him being so awkward.
The male entered the cafeteria. He abruptly stopped and his eyes shot up into the brightly lit room, shifting from the floor to the table and quickly back down. He wasn’t going to scan the entire room. He was too timid for that. From what he gathered in that one second glance there was no one else present in the room with him. His arms stayed at his side as he continued to walk into the cafeteria. He sat down by himself at the end of an empty table and he eyes studied the table before him. It would be awhile until he actually looked up. He was usually the first patient in the cafeteria in the mornings. He’d rather be the first person here than the last since he was so self-conscious about entering a room with people. It wasn’t like he was completely alone, though. He knew the dietary staff was in the kitchen since he could the clutter of the pots and pans with the humming of the very perky cook.
notes Oh man. I'm trying with him, he's new and awkward so be gentle..... Or you know, do whatever you want with him. :3 Did you know the sun rises in the east? lmao. I love Shannon.

The bombshell of a blonde tossed the covering back over the corpse sprawled out on the cooler table before pushing the male’s body inside the cooling bin to preserve him. Her eyes scanned the perimeter before she turned on her heel to walk towards the front of the room. “All in a day’s work.” A smirk spread across her lips as she popped the latex gloves off her hands and tossed them in the garbage can. Oh how she loved working with the dead. Was that normal? Heh. Probably not… not like she really cared, anyways. Her hands shifted to the table as she poured herself another cup of coffee and opened up one of her favorite candy bars: a pay day. There was nothing more pleasing than peanuts and caramel… well, maybe peanuts and chocolate- but that was about it. Hell, she didn’t even think she liked sex more than candy.
The girl took the black coffee mug in her hands before pouring some sugar in it- along with a touch of creamer. She never put too much, though. She enjoyed her coffee black. Why? Who really knows. She just liked it because it mainly kept her awake. She needed sleep, but at the same time, she didn’t. She could survive either way, honestly. The girl took a sip of the coffee as she opened the door to the mortuary room and flipped the lights off, shutting the door behind her as she stepped into the hallway. Most of the patients were still asleep, and most of the guards were passed out as well, honestly. They didn’t pay too much attention to their jobs- she noticed that. Not like she could blame them, though. After all, who would like watching a bunch of wackos all day long? She’d rather work with the dead.
Her eyes shifted down the hallway, scanning the other hallways that darted off to her right before continuing on a straight path. She needed to get some food. It was still too early for breakfast, but candy never hurt- right? Her boots clanked against the floor as her slender legs carried her down the narrow hallway. The girl flipped her head slightly to the left, letting her long hair flow behind her back and stray away from her face. There was one thing everyone that knew Hera knew about her for sure. She was a vain, nymphomaniac. The girl knew she was sexy as hell, and she used that as a positive thing. She got what she wanted, and she was confident as fuck. Not only that, but like said, she loved sex. It was one of the most pleasurable things she could find. That was probably why she wasn’t in a relationship- she didn’t like her sex partners to be limited. Call her a whore- she didn’t care. Hell, she called herself one, anyways.
Moving a little quicker, the girl finally reached the opening of the lunchroom. Her eyes skimmed the area before a shitty grin spread across her feminine face. Oh dear Shannon. How she adored him. He was so innocent, so naïve… so sweet… He was fucking perfect to fuck with. God he made her day. It wasn’t anything he did, it was just what she did to him. She always made him so awkward. It was obvious he wanted to get away from her most of the time, but she didn’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon. The girl took a bite of her Payday, the salty, yet sweet flavor erupting in her mouth like an orgasm- she knew all about that. Hera shoved the candy bar in her back pocket before holding her cup in her right hand, moving quietly towards the table that the male was staring at.
“Guess whoooo.” The girl said in a sing-songy voice, her lips right near the boy’s ear. Oh how she loved fucking with him. The female quickly sat her coffee on the table and hopped up on the table as well, sitting directly in front of the male with her legs straddling either side of him- resting in the chairs next to him. “Ya’ miss me, cutie?” She grinned playfully, leaning forward slightly and staring the boy in his eyes. Oh how she was such a bitch. She knew it, and she loved it too. There was no fun in letting him be awkward on his own. She needed to increase the awkwardness. Hell, she was just trying to break him out of his shell- her way, though. Oh well. She would always approach him in the most obscene ways and make him uncomfortable.
The female cocked her head slightly to the side, a look of lust filling in her eyes. She could almost read him like a book. She knew he was a virgin- that was an obvious one. God how she wanted to taint him so badly. It wasn’t even because he was attractive, but for the sake of claiming another virgin as her own. He was cute, though. Nothing more than that, in her opinion. She just liked his personality. The awkwardness and the way he was so introverted intrigued her. After all, she had always been a very open person, so she wasn’t used to the way he acted. “How’s life been treating you, hun?” She tried to be nice to start off with- make him comfortable… then she’d start talking about fucking and all of that good shit. Probably tell him she liked asphyxiation and hair pulling- let him know he can get rough with her. Oh how fun Hera Calleis was.

His attention stayed focus on the tune that the beautiful Sade was humming. It was vaguely familiar, however he couldn't put an exact name to it. This was beginning to bug him. Well, not irritably bug him. This is Shannon after all. It took quite a lot to truly irritate him. The fact that he couldn't put a name to the tune was going to be on his mind all day. It would come to him, eventually.
His finger tips began to tap against the hard plastic tops of the cafeteria tables to the tune. Eventually his legs would chime in mindlessly. Bouncing along with the taps of his fingers. Sure Shannon was the more relaxed Blochensteig brother but that didn't mean he could sit still for a prolonged period of time. Oh no, he had to keep moving. Especially when he was sober. His body is just so used to being so anxious with Reggie running around. Although, as soon as he would inhale some dank nugs all the muscles in his entire body would relax. It was really quite nice to not have any worries.
Since being in the asylum, Shannon realized that Reggie wasn't the only person that he had watch out for. Oh no, there were plenty more. What do you expect, though? He was locked up in a fucking asylum. We all know who took home step-father of year award. Anyways, Shannon had met some pretty fucked up people on his own at Xavier. People that would actually talk to themselves and conduct self harm and shit. Then there were the ones with multiple personalities, oh man those were the worst for Shannon to socialize with. He never was the first to approach others, of course they approached him and he isn't a jerk, in some cases he'd talk back...... and in some cases he'd immediately regret it. Like with Hera Calleis, that bitch was crazy and she wasn't even a patient! Ha. Well, Shannon wouldn't exactly call her crazy. Eccentric is more like it. The girl would get ridiculously close to the patient, knowing how shy he is with others. She did it out of her own pleasure, too. It's possibly enough to drive him crazy. Good thing he hasn't hit that point.... yet.
Then she came out of nowhere and whispered into his fucking ear! Geeze, what the hell was that all about? Shannon wanted to know why the hell she was in the cafeteria alone with him. Well, there were guards watching the surveillance cameras. You know if they weren't watching cartoons instead. So he'd be safe, he hoped. This paranoia was normal for him whenever Hera came around. She was just so extroverted and it frightened him. Spooked, Shannon's body jumped slightly out of his chair. His feet immediately stopped tapping and his hands left the top of the table and rested on his lap. A feeling in his chest grew heavy and he began taking deep breaths to calm himself down. Fuck, this shit sucked for him. His eyes shot down to his hands before he got the slightest ounce of courage to look up at her. She sat directly in front of him for a specific reason: to tease the hell out of him. And also because she was a huge bitch. His eyes quickly made their way up to hers, giving her a full body scan while he was it. It was impossible to not stare at her legs in those leather pants. She looked good! He knew it but he wouldn't admit it, to anyone. Shannon was too timid for that. However, once his eyes hit her face they shot back down to their original position.
"He-Hey Hera." Shannon stuttered in a hushed voice. He usually didn't stutter, it was usually only when Hera was around or when he was terrified. Then again Hera was usually the one to terrify him for whatever reason. Shannon tried to smile at her, well not at her since he was staring down at his hands in his lap but the smile was intended for her. You know as a greeting and what not. Unfortunately, his lips twitched to just half of a smile. He had no idea why he let her affect him so much. As if he couldn't get enough with just Reggie making his life so miserable. Hera only added to the suffering. In an attempt to get away from her, he tried pushing his chair out back. The skid of the legs of the chair against the tile made his eyes cringe and he stopped. He knew Hera would never let him get away so easy. So why bother?
She was being nice. This was her scariest. Let's get real, Shannon isn't an idiot. He knew what she was doing. She did it all the time. Butter him up with her sweet talk and then slam him with all her vulgar sex talk. Getting him into provocative positions only made it worse. Shannon didn't like her, she scared him. She was too much of an extrovert for him to handle. If it was up to him, he'd avoid her at all costs but that was nearly impossible whenever she popped up randomly. "Uh... Good..... I guess." He was so damn awkward! Taking unnecessary pauses, saying 'Uh' every ten seconds, and rushing his sentences when he did have something to say. "You?" He asked, not really caring what she had to say. It was just Shannon being polite. "What are you..... doing...... here....?" He questioned, it's a cafeteria, of course she's here for food or a beverage of some sort. "On the table I mean." He added quickly, not giving any thought to how fast he was rushing his words. Eh, Shannon was bad at talking. He couldn't help it.
notes aw man, it's been too long. i'm trying to get my inner-shannon back.
